Production Blog: The Ending

Since my last edits to my video, I added more captions to the pictures and 1 of the videos. I've decided to keep both videos at the end because it gave me an opportunity to add a captio n. I added my final 2 pictures right before the video , so I did have to fix the syncing with the sound. I also added a caption to one of the recently added photos , because it felt like it needed one. The way I positioned the 2 videos at the end were kind of strategic because I wanted the last video to align with the part of the song that says, “stand by me”. The video in question shows m y cousin and I walking towards my mom's car and bringing her ice cream. The reason I wanted to end off the video with that is because it shows a lighthearted moment with some of the people I cherish the most, and the ones I would wa nt to stand by me . Production Blog: In Sync with the Music

Getting way better at navigating Capcut , I actually know what I’m doing. I’m adding pictures with ease now, a very quick process . As I watched the unfinished video, I decided to keep the song Stand by Me, by Ben E King. It really goes with the photos, and it has a lot of beats that I could be in sync with the photos. Today's task is ma tching the beat with the photos. When the beat drops, a photo should cut to the next for example. I added 3 more pictures to my video that I’ve taken over the past few days. Matching the cuts with the beats was way more difficult than I figured it to be. It took an insane amount of listening, I had to use my headphones so I could listen better. Within the song its multiple beats , and the beat I'm trying to match it up with is the “clap” sound , but behind the claps it's almost like a guitar sound. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My music video is heavily influenced by the hip hop genre. Since the song I used was made in 2014, I tried to recreate the things I saw in music videos that were made around the same time. The majority of the people that were the main focus of the music video often wore bagging clothing and jewelry. As for the setting there was often a mixture of being outdoors and inside, I included both in my music video, but more indoor than outdoor. Hip- hop videos almost always have a group of 2 or more people with them unless it's a solo scene. In my music video I wanted to limit the amount of people in the camera at once, so the focus could stay on me.
