Filming Blog: Starting my Final task

I'm finally back after a little time away! I'm excited to say that many final task has been started and plans are being put in motion. With my filming days being mostly Saturdays and Sundays, it should take me 1 week minimum but  2 weeks max to finish the film. I really don’t want to go over that time span because it would leave me less time to edit. Editing, however, should take me at least another 1 week but would require more hours. Since I am doing this solo, that means I get to choose the locations and times, as well as having to behind the camera and Infront of it. I'm thinking of changing the location from the streets of my neighborhood to a park near me. All of a sudden, they are doing construction and readding grass when I started to film my establishing shot. I don’t know how long it's going to take for them to finish and move their machinery, but I don’t have time to waste. I'm trying to stay and plan and stop procrastinating for my final task because that is something I struggled with on my last project.

Honestly, I might scrap the 2 establishing shots I took and refilm them at the other location at the park. I already have 2 parks in mind, so there's not much to worry about. I also don’t mind redoing the establishing shots again because I don’t have to act anything out or re say my lines. My time will be split between being on camera and behind the camera. I will be on camera for the scenes like me walking down the street and talking to the other children actors. For those scenes I will either use my tripod stand, ring light stand or have an adult film it. I highly doubt I will use the ring light since the movie takes place during the day, most likely an adult will be used with the help of me, so the angles are right. With other scenes such as the ones that introduce the male antagonist, I will be filming these shots. I most excited about these scenes only because I get to film. This will allow me to see my ability of using angles and movement and using it to my advantage.
