I am back again, working the next day filming. My last film day yesterday was very productive. I got an entire storyboard sheet completed, meaning scenes 1 through 6. Today I will be working on scenes 7-18 equaling 2 storyboard sheets in total. Tomorrow, since there is no school thankfully, and my dad is off, I can work on my film. Which is amazing because the entire 1st half of the task will be completed, and I would only have the 2nd half to complete. Meaning all that would be needed is the editing portion, which I could do later this week. I’m already thinking of some ways of how I could enhance this film with editing techniques but for now I need to stick to 1 thing at a time.
I went back to the park, but this time I brought my co-stars aka my siblings. We instantly started filming since the background for this scene didn’t matter much, it was a low angle shot of me taking my air pods out and was filmed using my tripod. Scene 8 was a tracking shot, I had to get my mom to film this one. It took 3 times because I kept laughing because it was shocking and very awkward because I didn't have my headphones in. The same process happened for scene 9 but just in a different location. It wasn’t until scene 10 that my co-stars could finally help and make an appearance. I had them use the kickball we brought and kick it towards me so my mom could film it. Then once it was filmed, I took the camera and filmed an eyeline match for scene 11. For scene 12 I made sure the sidewalk was out of the frame and made sure that the camera captured my very confused face.
Next, I looked around for a building or some type of structure that my siblings could come behind from. At first, I used the pavilion, but the lighting was incredibly bad, so I looked for a new area. The cast and I went to the reception area and used that building, it wasn’t difficult for me to film, I just had to stand in the correct spot so that the sun didn't blind the camera. Scene 8, I let my sister film this one because she kept begging and because it was easy to shoot. It was a sot reverse shot in response to me looking at the kids coming from behind the wall. The camera is supposed to have some glare from the sun, but then it gets covered up as the actor puts up her hand. Scene 17 used a high angle from the kids' point of view, its supposed to show the height difference between the characters. For scene 18 I used my tripod to film the 3 shot between the other actors and me talking.
