Editing Blog: Director Title!

Hey blog, I'm back again, this time on its editing day 3! Which is my last and final day. This will probably a heavier day of editing. Instead of composing sounds and doing voiceovers, I'll be put every last piece together to complete the film fully. I've already transferred my voice-over and sound effects to iMovie, so when I'm ready to import them all I need to do is press the button. The first thing I did was move all the individual clips and merge them into 1 video. Next, I began to trim down some scenes like the ones of me walking. Those are the scenes that really needed to be trimmed down because it was causing an extra few seconds that I didn't have to give.

Next, I decided to add the transitions into each scene. The first scene that I started with was scene 29. I added a fade at the end so it could transition softly into the black of the next scene instead of abruptly. I had to make sure not to start the fade too early of have it be so quick, I slowed it down slightly so you couldn’t see the cut.

Then I added my actor’s voiceover onto her clip. I had to make sure it didn’t go onto the next scene but luckily for me the clip perfectly aligned with the voiceover. David's voiceover didn’t get so lucky. It bled over slightly so I had to speed it up in a way that it did not affect the voice and make it sound squeaky. I also did the same process for the sound effects, I also had to speed up the footsteps so it could match the actor's pace in the video.

Finally, I added the titles to each scene. I made sure each of them were the same size by copying and pasting it but just changing the words. I moved them in different locations, but majority I put them on the bottom on the actors clothing. I also tried to use white but also avoid it, so it could pop out instead of blending in with the scene.
