Production Blog: The Ending

Since my last edits to my video, I added more captions to the pictures and 1 of the videos. I've decided to keep both videos at the end because it gave me an opportunity to add a caption. I added my final 2 pictures right before the video, so I did have to fix the syncing with the sound. I also added a caption to one of the recently added photos, because it felt like it needed one. The way I positioned the 2 videos at the end were kind of strategic because I wanted the last video to align with the part of the song that says, “stand by me”.  The video in question shows my cousin and I walking towards my mom's car and bringing her ice cream. The reason I wanted to end off the video with that is because it shows a lighthearted moment with some of the people I cherish the most, and the ones I would want to stand by me. I decided not to add a caption to that video because it's self-explanatory, plus it takes away from the moment. After re watching the video many times, proofreading every caption to check for mistakes and last but not least showing my mom about 5 different times, I finally decided that my video was now complete. The last things for me to do is a cover photo and an ending screen.

The ending screen will showcase some of the people included in the video, kind of a credit roll at the end of a movie. The cover will be a collage of me, then a blur with words popping up. I downloaded a collage maker from the app store, and I began to select the photos I wanted. I decided to only use 4 photos that showcase some other photos of me that aren't in the video. Once I added the photos, I fixed the thickness and curves of the boarder and made it pink so it can match with the words. I saved it as photo, Then I went back to capcut and added before my first photo. I did have to search up how to add the blur to the photo because I couldn’t find the option at first, but after I added the blur, I added the title and gave it an animation. After adding the cover, I realized that it messed up some of the syncing with beat, so I should have done that first. I decided not to fix it at that moment because I still had added the ending. Adding the ending credits was easy, I found a pink background from google and added wording to it, I gave credit to the song writer and some of the people who sent me pictures/included in the video. To conclude the editing of the video all I had to do was fix the syncing with the song.
