Group Blog

   For my Final AICE task for A level I will be working by myself. I am choosing to work by myself for multiple reasons, firstly because I participate in after school activities. Secondly, I live a little farther than people I would want to work with. Lastly, I can move at my own pace, and not have to worry about being on somebody else time, and possibly hold them back. I feel like this short film will go by smoother and quicker If I just worked by myself. Working with a group can always be a little hectic, because sometimes people don't do their part and just rely on others, there can be some tension that starts to rise.

Since I am working by alone, more work can be done quicker and posted faster because all I need is myself. I don't have to worry about introducing myself to my group mates or going through that awkward time period that everybody has when grouping up with somebody you don't really know. My only other option was working with my friend, however she also wants to work with other people she knows, but I dont know anything about them, so i would just have outsider syndrome. So this year again, I am once a one woman army.

Since this is a short film, I must come up with an idea. I feel like working alone will give me all the creativtiy freedom I need and want. It easier to come up with an idea without having to get it ran through by multiple people. Working alone will remove any conflicts that may happen within the group. I could get way more work done in a few days by myself instead of having to wait for my group mates to send things in.

Working with groups could also limit any places were you could film at, maybe because they live far, cant get a ride, strict parents, can't find a day to do it on and other possible things that can occur. Sending assignments and your part of the assignments can have problems, technical problems can happen and so can last minute things/emergencies. Id rather not deal with those type of problems just yet, but no doubt working with other people would be fun but unfortently not for me this time.

As for right now I need to start thinking of possible ideas for my movie. Im thinking something fun but maybe a little scary. My mind is turning with wheels, moving in all types of directions. Who knows what ill do, until next time ill have my decision.
