It's now Friday of the 2nd filming week. Today was really productive because I got 4 scenes done. The first scene I worked on was scene 5, where I begin to dance to the song outside in the backyard. The first 3 takes were unsuccessful because the first time my camera fell from the wind. The second time was because my neighbor's dog wanted to be annoying and keep barking at me, even though he has seen me multiple times before. The third and final time was because a group of people on motorcycles came down the street and it messed up my timing. The saying the third try is a charm wasn't true for this sitution, I was finally able to get it done with my 4th try. After rewatching it multiple times I was happy with the outcome of this scene.
The next scene to work on was the sixth scene, which is the one where I am dancing in the hallway. This scene was probably the easiet as of right now because there was nothing to distupt me. It took me 2 takes in total. The first try was okay, but my footwork and dancing was offbeat with the song, so I decided to instantly delete it. The scene was easy to shoot, the camera angle was good and not difficult to set up. The only problem I did encounter was that I was out of breath from all the dancing. I'm a very active person esspecially when it comes to running, but jumping up and down, moving your arms all over the place and shaking your head is entirely different. Since all the dancing had me so out of breath I needed a 15 minute break before moving on to the next scene.
The next to scenes, seven and eight with me in the "dance club" are kind of intertwined but the camera angle switches. I already did them ealier this week but I wanted to redo them because they were rushed. Scene seven only took me 1 take because my dancing was really on beat, plus the only light that could be seen were from the LED lights so other than that it was conpletely dark. I took a short break before going to scene eight, the process was about the same but it took me two takes. The first take, the camera felt way too close to my face.
