Production Blog: Buying and Preparing

Preparing for a music video is way more stressful than I could have imagined. I've never even imagined that I would be making a music video. The mis-en-scene was definitely the biggest problem that I had to get ready. Firstly, I'm using my backyard for a set, so that means making sure everything outside it clean and neat. I had to pick up the trash that somehow blew into the yard, which took about 10-12 minutes to get everything up. Then I had to rake the yard because there were so many leaves from my neighbor's tree. That was possibly the worst thing Ive done so far, my arms were hurting really bad. Finally I was almost done, the last thing that needed to be done, was mowing the lawn. Ive never ever mowed a lawn a day in my life and my father made me do it by myelf. I struggled, I basically had to watch a tutorial on how to mow a lawn. About 2 hours later I finshed mowing the lawn, including breaks because it was hot outside.

The next task was cleaning my moms car because that was also going to be in the video. It didnt take long, only about 10 minutes to vaccuum and wide down the seats and the dashboard. My next task was finding my hats and glasses. I have multiple hats that I can choose from, 2 of mine and some of my dads. While looking for my sunglasses i realized that 2 out of my 3 pairs broke, now I need to buy some more or atleast 1. I do kind of want a sparkely glittery fedora hat that you can find at party city because I think it will match the vibes, but not the clothes. Speaking of clothes that was my next task, the most fun part. I "stole" some of my dad's and brother's clothings. I picked out 5 outfits that i thought would go well, then I would ask my mom which one is worst so I can eliminate it.
