For this music video project, I will be working by myself. I am choosing to work by myself for multiple reasons, firstly because I participate in after school activities. Secondly, I live a little farther than people I would want to work with. Lastly, I can move at my own pace, and not have to worry about being on somebody else time, and possibly hold them back. I feel like this music video will go by smoother and quicker If I just worked by myself. Working with a group can always be a little hectic, because sometimes people don't do their part and just rely on others, there can be some tension that starts to rise. Since I am working by alone, more work can be done quicker and posted faster because all I need is myself. I don't have to worry about introducing myself to my group mates or going through that awkward time period that everybody has when grouping up with somebody you don't really know. Since this is a music video i must choose a song to do it on. Now ive had a list of options but utimatly my final choice is the song 7/11 by Beyonce. The reason i chose to use this song is because i really enjoy the actual video, which i can use for inspiritation. Secondly, Beyonce was on my music list for my last project the commercial, but I didnt end up using her song. I feel like I can use a variety of camera angles just by dancing to the song. The song has a unique beat and sounds such as her clapping. The lyrics arent too superficial, and nothing much to really read into to find a differet meaning. 7/11 by Beyonce is a very fun and lighthearted song, so I can actually enjoy making my music video and dancing without taking it too seriously. The song is easy to create a dance too, Beyonce says "wave your hands side to side, put it in the air". Last but not least, the song is school appropriate. It doesn't include any curse words. The song is something I could play around family, siblings, or teachers at school without being ridiculed.
