Reflection - My Video

I learned how to use a lot of new technology and techniques. I recently got a new phone, so things worked in different ways. I learned new ways to take photos with all the different modes such as portrait mode with tons of different lightings and blurs you can use. The portrait mode was a good addition because it helped enhance my video and really bring out the colors. The natural light on portrait mode was the best one, because the other ones made the background very blurry and that’s not what I wanted for the vibe of my video. I also learned how to use Capcut for the first time, it was definitely a learning experience. I did have to watch some tutorials on how to do certain things. I've learned how to navigate Capcut, use shortcuts to make things quicker and even how to edit things smoothly.

Putting this project together was definitely a little hectic, but I did learn things along the way. I learned to problem solve, there were many problems that raised such as the saving and embedding process. All I needed to do was evaluate the problem and work through the steps to solve it. The next thing I learned was creative thinking skills. I am a creative person in my mind but sometimes I couldn’t put it into action. This project took it right out of my mind onto the video, I didn’t want my project to be dull and boring. I've also learned to have patience, because this project took a decent amount of time to put together and edit. I realized that everything wasn’t going to happen at once, and that it’s ok to take a break, because if I didn’t the project would have looked rushed and messy.

The thing I could do better for the next project is planning. I planned a decent amount such as writing down some notes and things to add to the video. I hardly stuck to the planning because the notes I wrote on paper weren't very detailed so when I looked at it later, I would forget. For the next project I need to stay more focused on the main goal. I often got distracted or just stopped working on the task, I started to do side things before the main thing. The biggest one is putting everything together and then editing, instead of adding stuff then editing along the way. I spent a lot more time re-fixing the stuff I edited before because the edits I did after messed up the beginning half.
